My Story:

“I chose to attend my HBCU for the rich cultural experience it offered. Being surrounded by like-minded individuals with shared goals was important to me.

During my tenure at Bowie State University, I actively participated in various facets of campus life. I played on the Men’s Basketball team, held a position on the Royal Court, joined Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., and developed a love for photography.

Homecoming at Bowie was consistently an amazing experience. Witnessing everyone return to the campus made it one of my favorite moments during undergrad.

Prospective students should consider attending HBCUs for the unique and unparalleled cultural experience they provide. Bowie State University prepared me for real-world challenges by imparting valuable skills in handling diverse situations and navigating interpersonal relationships.

For those considering HBCUs, ensure that the school aligns with your academic goals and offers a welcoming campus environment for a fulfilling college experience”.
