HBCU Pride Nation started with one question:
“Are HBCUs still relevant in today’s society?”
Back in 2010, that question sparked something bigger than I could have imagined. What began as a conversation became a movement — a movement to unify all 103 HBCUs, amplify our stories, and shift the national narrative around Black colleges. We watched stereotypes, misinformation, and declining enrollment paint a picture that didn’t reflect the excellence we knew. So we set out to reclaim it.
From Spark to Movement
Today, HBCU Pride Nation reaches millions of students, alumni, families, and supporters across the world. With a fast-growing digital audience of over 300,000 followers, national partnerships, and a presence at major cultural events, HPN has become one of the leading voices for HBCU culture, pride, and empowerment.

Our Mission
Preserve the culture. Empower the future. Elevate the legacy of HBCUs.
Everything we create; every story, every event, every piece of apparel is rooted in this mission.
Why It Matters?
HBCU Pride Nation is more than a brand.
It’s a movement, a platform, a community, and a blueprint for what’s possible when we honor where we come from and invest in the next generation.
We’re here to ensure every student:
understands the significance of HBCUs,
recognizes the opportunities they create,
and feels proud to attend, support, and represent them.
A Note From Our Founder
Thank you for believing in us, building with us, and standing with the culture. The story isn’t finished — we’re just getting started.
– Travis P. Jackson, Founder & CEO, HBCU Pride Nation
